| 0.0 | Penis | January 6th 15 | Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album,
Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It
was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the
group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it
deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe.
Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically
hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical
craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why
don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins
addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of
the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as
positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so
Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore
more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds.
Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the
confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a
great, great song, a personal favorite.

| 2.5 average | TheSupernatural | January 11th 15 | Do you like Fall Out Boy? Their early work was a little too 'pop punk' for my taste, but when Folie a Deux came rout in '08, I think they really came into their own - both commercially and artistically. The whole album has a rclear, crisp sound, and a fresh varnish of pop culture idealism that really gives the songs a big boost. They've rbeen compared to My Chemical Romance, but I think Fall Out Boy has a far more comprehensive, satirical rsense of humor. In '15, Fall Out Boy released this, American Beauty/American Psycho, their most raccomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Centuries", a song so catchy most people rprobably don't listen to the lyrics - but they should! Because it's not just about the pleasures of being famous, rand the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself! Hey Futures!r

| 0.0 | ItchyPenis | January 10th 15 | My name is Lester Burnham. This is my neighborhood. This is my street. This is my life. I am 42 years old. In less than a year, I will be dead. Of course, I don't know that yet, and in a way, I'm dead already. Look at me, jerking off in the shower. This will be the highlight of my day. It's all downhill from here. That's my wife Carolyn. See the way the handle on those pruning shears match her gardening clogs? That's not an accident. That's our neighbor, Jim, and that's his lover, Jim. Man, I get exhausted just watching her. She wasn't always like this. She used to be happy. We used to be happy. My daughter, Jane. Only child. Janie's a pretty typical teenager - angry, insecure, confused. I wish I could tell her that's all going to pass, but I don't want to lie to her. Both my wife and daughter think I'm this gigantic loser. And they're right. I have lost something. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I know I didn't always feel this -- sedated. But you know what? It's never too late to get it back.

| 3.5 great | FatalHybrid | January 17th 15 | Pop music for a new generation.. This album is a pop masterpiece and it comes from an unlikely
source, Fall Out Boy. This is a band that were never ashamed of pop hooks, but they used them with
nuance in the past to make their punk sound more unique. Here we see the band put pop to the fore
to great effect, this is an album where every track is a perfectly crafted pop song and it's a joy
to listen to. If I was to rate this as a purely pop record ignoring the band behind it, I'd likely
give it a 4/5. Though because Fall Out Boy have made better music than this albeit not as catchy,
I would rate it 3/5. So to be fair I will sit on the fence and give it a 3.5/5.

| 1.0 awful | Jared Floryan | January 5th 15 | Apparently speaking, it looks as if Fall Out Boy's attempts at reaching out to a newer, arguably more ignorant audience takes both balls and an insane amount of stupidity; American Beauty/American Psycho, however, is mostly the latter. Stylistic change that is gradual or quite drastic is fine as long as the familiar elements are still around, but when so much becomes altered, it gets to the point where virtually everything is totally hard to figure out. In the end, Save Rock & Roll with its ironic album title signaled FOB's ass backwards race 'round the universe, so I suppose this was expected, but sweet lord!

| 1.0 awful | Hanusko | August 3rd 17 | Let's put this straight, I ve never really been fan of this band, I think their first couple of records is unimaginative generic pop punk, and their subsequent stuff was poorly written and extremely inconsistent for my tastes...tho I've always felt like their music is bearable, and in small doses even enjoyable..tho I've always had problem with the awfully pretentious delivery that the vocals had...but still bearable...now this album however...that's a beast of it's own. I always thought that there is never gonna be a band that is gonna sound like carbon copy of band such as Imagine dragons (band is horrid, but mostly bearable). I am not even kidding, if imagine dragons singer was singing over these sonic disasters I wouldn't be surprised...now let's just sum up the album, the instrumentals are terrifying abomination of dubstep-y cheesy radio rock, that is overproduced to the point, where your top 40 pop sounds underproduced, yet they somehow managed to mix all of this crap extremely poorly, the instrumentation doesn't sound well on top of each other, there is so many misplaced instruments, misplaced awful drops, strange trendy dubstep beats...I can't even...Plus what's up with that extremely cheesy ''motivational'' vocal delivery, when the lyrics don't even match it...ABOMINATION

| 3.5 great | 3waycrash | July 26th 16 | Fall Out Boy follow the same direction as Save Rock and Roll with a follow up with even more of a modern pop flair. American Beauty/American Psycho is probably guilty of having the same qualities as SR&R. The songs show more variation this time around, and the songs are consistently more interesting. While it still doesn't sound like a proper "band record" and resembles something more like a solo project from Patrick, it's still an enjoyable modern pop album.

| 4.5 superb | Teacherlisakc | June 26th 15 | Fall Out BoyrFall Out Boy?s dream of making their sixth album has come true. The name of their sixth album is called American Beauty/ American Psycho.Fall Out Boy is an American rock band that was made in 2001 in Chicago. This is my favorite album of all of their albums.rThe band members are Patrick Stump and he is the lead singer and a guitarist. Pete Wentz is the bassist or bass guitar player. Joe Trohman is the lead guitarist for Fall Out Boy. The last member of the band is the drummer Andy Hurley.rThey have five other main albums and two of the most famous albums are Save Rock and Roll and From Under Cork Tree. Another band like Fall Out Boy is My Chemical Romance which is also a rock band.rOne of the songs I like is called Jetpack Blues and my favorite lyric is ?Waiting for me in the downpour outside. She singing ?Baby come home? in a melody of tears While the rhythm of the rain keeps time.?rOne of my least favorite songs is Novocaine because to me it has too much bass in the beginning and I can?t understand some of the lyrics. I also dislike it because to me it isn't very catchy. rThis is my favorite Fall Out Boy album because this album has the least amount of songs I dislike on the album. This is one of their better albums and I think you will like it! Happy Listening.r

| 1.5 very poor | MadBaron | February 14th 15 | This is absolutely dreadful. I realize that Fall Out Boy has always been more on the Pop
side of Pop Punk, but this is what I'd call hardcore selling out. Fall Out Boy are trying
DESPERATELY to stay relevant and it really shows, now that they have become some kind of
clone-hybrid of Imagine Dragons and Maroon 5. Any rock edge that they once possessed is now
buried under a hissing electronic production. It sounds almost as if they are terrified of
sounding like a rock band and are trying to hide everything but their singer. Even their
lyrics, which had once been their saving grace, are far from the witty Morrisseyisms of
their past and instead just sound arrogant and unintelligible. Some tracks are tolerable:
"Uma Thurman" is infectious and just bizarre enough with its sampling of The Munster's theme
that it's okay. "Novocaine" is probably the best song on here, transitioning from a sludgey
guitar riff to a soaring chorus. But overall... If this is what it takes for a "rock" band
to get played on the radio these days, I'd rather hear Lady Gaga or Katy Perry because at
least they aren't so ashamed of their respective genre they try to bury it.

| 2.5 average | BRAman22 | January 21st 15 | American Beauty/American Psycho sees Fall Out Boy continuing away from the pop-punk genre into more straight up pop. | 1.5 very poor | MUNGOLOID | January 14th 15 | At least with SR&R, there felt like there was some soul and personality to be found in it. This
album on the other hand, feels like a manufactured mess. It continues to show none of the band's
talents they once had (except for maybe patrick's singing) and doesn't feel like any kind of
progression that they once showed. I used to look forward to their return when they were on their
hiatus, but if i knew that they would end up releasing this, i would have much preferred them to
only focus on performing their old material.
