I don't even like Joey that much, but this album is just excellent. Filled with quality material, only one skit and just dope lyrics, you really don't want to miss out on this.

Brooklyn's Joey Badass puts forth an impressive official debut rooted in classic East coast rap, even if it sounds a little too much like a mixtape at times. On one hand, the subject matter lacks variety, but it allows Joey to focus on his improved vocabulary, and all he does is spit fire on this record. Most of the beats are soulful, relaxing backdrops for Joey to wax poetic about life and death, hip hop and that loud. Joey shows he ready for the majors with B4.DA.$$.

he needs to improve on the hooks and there are a few weak songs towards the end of the album but overall, this is boom bap shit done right! you can't go wrong with joey but i feel like this isn't the best thing he can do. i'm pretty sure he can drop something much stronger than this but only time will tell. for now, this will do it! 4
