Great album, its got one consistent feel that ties it together but at the same time it hits so many different musical areas, it'll take you on a mind trip.

Infected Mushroom have been ahead of the psytrance game for nearly 10 years now, and Vicious Delicious has got more chance of seeing them break out to a wider fanbase than any of their previous albums. The band's continued progression has seen them arrive at a sound that's more organic and diverse than anything they've attempted previously, with hip-hop, flamenco, electropop, new age, and various world musics all cropping up intermittently. It's their appreciation of metal that shines through most, though - almost every track boasts a wailing guitar solo or a thrash riff somewhere, making it their most accessible work yet for the uninitiated. The only strikes against Vicious Delicious are its slightly bloated length and the vocals on "Forgive Me". Otherwise, a contender for the the best dance record of 2007.

Psychedelic trance, metal, hip-hop and other genres woven into a masterfully produced collection of tracks. Nothing I say can do this album justice, so just listen to it.

This album is so fun especially with tracks like "Suliman", "Eat it Raw" and "Change The Formaility". "Heavyweight" is also sick.

Trance is a new field for me, so it may be better to understand the field by listening to a relatively good album first before hearing a couple of terrible ones. Somewhat reminds me of Primal Scream's Screamadelica album for some reason... Although track 2 was rather unnecessary. Will remain at a borderline 4/5 until I can find a better grasp of "essential" trance. (10/23/16) Nope, this is DEFINITELY a 4/5, even w/ the needless second track!

At its core, Vicious Delicious is another psychedelic trance effort put out by the duo known 'round the universe as Infected Mushroom. But by digging deeper into the finished product, the release is a electronically-varied library of pulsating tracks which never really bother to tire anybody out there who's listening; not even Erez and Amit themselves. The record's length might be on the bloated side, but with the amount of diversity put into this offering alongside those gorgeous production values, Vicious Delicious' running time is hardly what I'd call 'bothersome'. There is just as much room on the outside as there is on the inside.

The song vicious delicious on its own makes this album already worth it. The build up mid song is just incredibly perfect, with an insanely exploding riff afterwards. No drugs necessary  Terrific album, full of pumping beats accompanied with some top notch musicality.

I would say "Excellent" is better to explain this album, but I wanted to give it "4.5". Why? Awesome songs... First is Suliman, Heavyweight is second for me. I just wanted to say that Suliman reached a new height in the electronic/psytrace music. That's why I gave to this album "4.5", it's not the best, but it's just epic.

I was a little disappointed with this album, I was expecting so much more from this band and they delivered a commercially sounding album. Having said that I must admit that my all time favourite Infected Mushrooms track does come from this album and that is 'Becoming Insane'
