This is just more of Joanna Newsom doing what she does best - being a complete freak. Her voice twists and turns its way around every one of these songs, sounding quite good in the new Appalachian folk context of the music. Colleen, the sole new song, is just as good as anything Newsom has ever done, and provides a good outlook for her future as a singer-songwriter-orchestra fronter-harp player.
