Fuzzier, more frenetic and at times overwhelmingly gorgeous, Panda Bear conceeds us the first triumph of 2015. An introspective one at that. Here's the intelligible world's Noah Lennox.

Probably his most fully-formed album and a good listen - and though I enjoy the pulsating dirty/busy/warm compositions they kinda just sit there, and the vocal harmonies (usually more befitting than significant) kinda just sit there too. The standout harp&piano-sampling ballads make you wish he'd try breaking out of his habitual monotony more often.

On Panda Bear's latest adventure, our main character is offered a bunch of fuzz pedals and
distorted synth chord keyboards by the Grim Reaper, replacing his characteristic Brian
Wilson-esque ambient passages, watery reverb and aquatic (pet) sounds with the newfound
utensils given to him, hence, conceiving a lackluster record that flows all too well. We can
only assume our main character has been bamboozled.
