| 3.0 good | Jared Floryan | June 15th 15 | While a lack of creative ideas and unbalanced compositions are evident once you look deeper inside Madina Lake's pond, the Chicago-based band's debut full-length effort From Them, Through Us, To You presents itself as another entertaining (if obviously bland) pop punk release with acceptably wangsty vocals from Nathan Leone and mostly solid instrumentation that can more or less get a superfluous job done. The lyrics are unsurprisingly terrible, on the other hand, especially for what amounts to sappy high school poetry disguised as a concept record.

| 0.0 | sin69 | April 20th 10 | This album, while it doesn't bring anything new and mind-blowing, it's still a pretty enjoyable listen.. Solid musicianship, solid singing, everything sounds pretty average on its own, but put together makes for a really good pop-punk album.. Stand out songs IMO: Here I Stand, Adalia, Pandora and Stars as the best song on the album.. Pros certainly outweigh the cons by a beautiful margin..

| 3.5 great | DaveyBoy EMERITUS | October 5th 09 | Madina Lake's heavier brand of pop-punk may not be the most original sound, but their debut album 'From Them, Through Us, To You' is a fun listen on the back of a number of supremely catchy tracks. The 4 singles are infectious standouts, but they are well complemented by 'Now or Never', 'Stars' & the more post-hardcore leaning 'True Love', which all contain anthemic components that are high on the sing-along factor. The band is not as convincing when they attempt to branch out ('River People' & 'Morning Sadness'), but they predominantly know their strengths & never outstay their welcome. Recommended Tracks: Here I Stand, House of Cards, Pandora & One Last Kiss.

| 3.5 great | HeidiH2260 | January 9th 09 | I thought it was a pretty good album. I didn't like some of the songs too much, but over all they did pretty well in my opinion.
