| 4.0 excellent | Comatorium. | January 12th 15 | Went into "The Mindsweep" with no to low expectations. I loved ES's first EPs and their first two albums but lost interest after that point. Pleasantly surprised by the mishmash of genres, influences, and amount of maturity present here. Shades of Gorillaz, Serj Tankian, Boards of Canada, Radiohead, and a heaping of refined Shikari style adds up to a great, and pretty surprising start to 2015.

| 4.5 superb | Jared Floryan | January 13th 15 | Its polarizing opinions notwithstanding, I actually found myself enjoying much of A Flash Flood of Colour; it was a bit tough for me to put my finger on it, but the British outfit Enter Shikari utilized what was mostly a crossover sound in a rather charming fashion. The latest studio album The Mindsweep has now entered the fray (via pre-release streaming), and I can tell you that it is - without any bit of doubt - better than this record's predecessor. Frontman Rou Reynolds and his fine ol' chaps essentially took their last release's experimental nature and amplified those effects, all while trying very hard to banish the roadblocks. What we have before us is a product which comes close to becoming a chef d'ouevre of sorts; hell, The Mindsweep will sooner or later become a magnum opus.

| 4.5 superb | beachdude | January 13th 15 | Easily their best album to date. Feels much more cohesive and flows better than anything they've done before, and some tracks like "Dear Future Historians" are genuinely surprising.

| 5.0 classic | SSnakez | January 13th 15 | Too much arrogance/ignorance from the elitist metalheads on this site. Not all electronic music is
bad and talentless, music doesn't have to consist of only guitars and drums to be considered of
good quality. Anyway, this album is by far Shikari's best material yet, a meaningful, and
agreeable universal message combined with some of the highest levels of diversity I've ever seen
in an album. From "There's a price on your head"'s insane System of a Down-like aggressive
thrashing lyrics regarding social classes, to "Never let go of the microscopes"'s slow trance
like versus regarding Government atrocities that go ignored. A simply great album, can not find a
fault with it's quality of sound nor it's lyrical intelligence. Also the very last song (Appeal
and the Mindsweep II) is insane and is a perfect closing song for live shows.

| 4.5 superb | BrushedRed | December 18th 14 | Hate all ya want on Enter Shikari, but they're pretty fucking awesome and quite original. I'm anticipating this album quite a lot. The Last Garrison has me hooked and Never Let Go of the Microscope is brimming with a very strange, Gorillaz-ish sound with Shikari flair coming out in full force halfway through the song on through the end. So far, those might be the strongest of all their songs, save for maybe.. "Radiate," song fucking owns.

| 3.5 great | DAVECATAZ | October 22nd 15 | Tons of variety in this album. Production is on point. Toned down the wub wubs this time around for a more mature and focused vibe. The lyrical content on the other hand is still freshman level political commentary. Anti-capitalism, class-ism, climate change, universal health care, they hit all the progressive talking points. Still worth a listen though.r
