A true American metal band with two very knowledgeable guitarists might hint that this is an amazing album. However, this is where assumptions might not be so accurate. Many of the songs follow the same structure resulting in difficulty to figure out which song is which. The only real excitement the listener might get are from the leads, which follow very irregular scales despite what the background chords may be. Fortunately, this album does show a lot of promise for Daath.
