Throwing out any superfluous opinion on the anime, the soundtrack for the show is actually quite good. Sure, it does have its repeating themes and filler here and there (sound familiar?), but it's got things going for it. Many of the more upbeat compositions, and even some of the more tranquil and peaceful ones, are really catchy, which for a soundtrack is paramount. The use of oriental instruments works very well, mixing in with more traditional instruments seamlessly. The downtrodden tracks here, especially "Man Of The World", are all quite saddening, but extremely memorable in their melodies and progressions. It starts out very well, but ultimately the second half of the record undercuts the excellence of the first half, mainly due to the aforementioned repeating of themes. All this said, it really is excellent background music and accomplishes its goal of memorability in spades.
