It's a solid game soundtrack a lot of the more ambient tracks are pretty dull and some rather awesome stuff was cut from the official release (Therum). Uncharted Worlds is the ultimate nostalgia driver & so is Virmire ride, and while I love them objectively they would be absolutely nothing for someone uninitiated. In contrast Breeding Ground, Mass Effect Theme, Saren, Spectre Induction, The Thorian, Vigil & Battling Saren retain a reasonable level of quality as set pieces. Definitely inferior all round to ME2's OST.

This is the best game soundtrack out there, nothing else manages to capture the feel of its world this accurately while also providing the listener with constant interesting flourishes and hooky passages.
