For what it is, it's the best Pink Floyd album that 2014 could've brought us. It creates a surreal and spacey undeniably Floyd atmosphere that is nice to hear one last time.

Wow this album is amazing, I can see that alot of people won't get it but I always loved the more ambient stuff off of more, ummagumma, wywh etc. And this is simply a remarkable ambient masterpeice with tons or pure emotion as a final farewell this album could not have turned out better, it is a very bold non main stream release. On a technical view it has a DR value of 11, when was the last time a major band put out an album with ZERO clipping? Truly amazing I'm pretty shocked how good it is. I hope people give it a chance and let it sink in and catch all the emotions and details on it. This is not a throwaway album for background music.

Setting aside the reasons this album was released (money-grabbing, etc.), it neither adds or detracts anything from Pink Floyd's myth. Overall, it's kinda average with some moments of brilliance but a lot of times it seems that the music is a bit stale without a clear direction.

When "The Endless River" is at it's best of demonstrating what Pink Floyd does/did it
resemblances more of a funeral dirge than a jovial remembrance of their career and at
it's worst, TER is a discombobulated, jumbled-cluster-fuck of a mess with hollow
monuments of past ideas and recycled doodling. Not quite the swan song you'd expect for
the once Progressive Titans.

Their story is one about loss, mortality, and human frailty. That's why Louder Than Words had to be second-rate dad rock. Take it as it is. As a 21st century Floyd fan I'm excited to even be a part of a new Pink Floyd album. It's a familiar and a one-of-a-kind sound and feeling. It's not perfect, but they really do try to mesh together all their sounds, that spanned three decades. It makes you wonder how broken their relationship is with Roger, still to this day. I mean, I understand these songs came from 1993 sessions, but we all fantasize about that one final reunited collaboration. It could never happen to Floyd, though. That would be too romantic. But it's just like: c'mon guys. You are some of the most influential musicians in the world. Couldn't you set your bullshit aside for one moment before biting the dust?

anyone expecting this to be the second coming of christ will be disappointed. but it's been 20 years since their last LP and quite frankly they don't owe anyone anything. what Pink Floyd has done here is take fantastic pieces of Division Bell era recordings and compile them into a nice album to pay tribute to Rick Wright. it's the perfect send off to him, as well as to one of the, if not the greatest band of all time.

If one's going to do a almost purely instrumental album, it needs to be less boring than what this
is. The album lacks any kind of emotional crescendo or highpoint to make the listen truly
rewarding and worthwhile. However, it creates a immersive, and truely Pink Floyd-esque atmosphere
that only they could make.

Even with it's anti-climatic final track, the instrumentals throughout are appropriately rich and spacious in their ambiance and spots of gracious flow by Gilmour. Puts me in mind of a heavenly environment, perhaps appropriate given how the album cover suggests afterlife. Probably a bit of a grower, though it's possible that my 3.5 rating might get bumped up if never down. Glad they decided to clean up Wright's late project for us to hear, rathar than let it go to waste.
