You haven't heard insane until you heard what The Locust can craft up. Seriously, these guys
are capable of making some of the most unnatural sounding guitar riffs seemingly sprout up
and come alive. Not only that, but the vocalist himself is a beast who is not only fun to
hear, but a prime example of how intensity can be inserted within an album. This album is a
chaotic mess but it hilariously awesome to listen to and is amazing.

As someone new to the grind genre this was the perfect album to get me into it. With its craziness/spazness mixed with brief but awesome moments of catchiness, The Locust are now a band I will keep my eye on in the future.

The Locust are partly responsible for my year in 2007 being spent listening to a completely different style of music than I am used to (I was more into hardcore/punk, and radio rock). With that said, New Erections blew me away. The timing was magnificent and the way they went from a cool little riff into utter chaos was great.
