Album slayed, will get a ridiculous amount of unwarranted hate from Sputnik because it's still
trendy to hate this band for some fucking reason. They haven't worn makeup since their sophomore
album, move the fuck on already and go back to jerking it to the thought of Tool eventually
releasing a new album. Best album from BVB since Set the World on Fire.

Dalton DuBois There was a listening party in New York last night. Here are a couple details I found out about the album. 1. It's balls heavy. 2. Everyone seems to really like the tracks "Faithless", "Heart of Fire" "Drag Me To The Grave" and the ballad "Walk Away" the most. 3. The creature on the front is a continued concept from Wretched and Divine's story (the album apparently doesn't sound like WAD at all), but the creature on the front is the literal "legion" the ultimate weapon of F.E.A.R.r8 hrs ? Like

Every bit as corny as Black Veil Brides' previous releases, the band's latest self-titled album will only be appealing to a limited number of people; by 'people', I'm of course referring to the unattractively haunting presence of the BVB Army. The instrumentation here lacks quite a bit of punch and Andy Biersack's narmtastic vocal delivery (and eye-rolling lyricism to boot) usually tend to overshadow the talents of the other members, for what little credit they actually deserve.

This album is a great collection of all their inspirations but they don't do enough to sound
unique. This album suffers from the same issue that 'Hail To The King' by Avenged Sevenfold had,
in that each song sounds like the bands interpretation of another bands song. There were many
occasions listening to 'Black Veil Brides' where I found myself saying "Sounds like Trivium" or
"Sounds like Guns N' Roses" or any other modern metal or rock band. Now that's not necessarily a
bad thing as they do a great job at emulating, but Black Veil Brides are a band that seem to lack
an identity or a sound they can call their own. What I can say is that for the first time I am
genuinely curious to see where the album after this one will take them, so for that this album is
pretty good.

This is pretty fucking terrible. The mixing is bad, the drum has no punch or bass at all, the rvocals are way too high in the mix, even though they are the main thing that drag this album rdown. Andy smoked way too much and it's now taking its toll on his vocals... The bass is inaudible ras well. This album would actually be not that bad if the vocals were better and it wasn't mixed rby a moron, it has good guitarwork as always but the song structure is really boring, most songs rsound the same cause of the verse-chorus-verse shit... There are a few songs that don't completely rsuck though, Stolen Omen is pretty heavy and feels like a Trivium song with some mediocre rscreaming. The solo is nice and actually add something to the song, same goes for 'Crown of rThorns'. 'Goodbye Agony' is a pretty boring song, but the vocals actually work here, as Andy's rsinging a lot lower here, which works rbetter for him.
