Until 2025, the only two songs I knew from "The Spirit Room" were 'Everywhere' and 'All You Wanted', which fortunately but unfortunately for Michelle Branch, they're the best 2 songs on this record. I gave the album a listen after hearing a song from it featured in a random movie, and the album as a whole is still quite good; again those 2 songs though really were the smart choices for singles. 'You Set Me Free' and 'Sweet Misery' come the closest to replicating the kinetic energy found within the 2 big songs, and perhaps it's a nostalgic feeling that might catapult those songs to such a high regard on my end. The album luckily also features softer songs to balance things out, but a strange choice in track order to place such a song like 'You Get Me' as Track 2. I'll give this album another listen in maybe a year from now and possibly my score here on how/if anything's changed. As of writing this, for some reason I don't feel confident in giving this a 3.5, and I'm not sure if it should be higher or lower.
