While a step down from Punkadelia, not entirely unexpected after being so prolific, La Belle Epoque shows a lighter, more upbeat and compressed side to The Grand Astoria with light blues-rock tunes such a Henry's Got A Gun and slow-burners like The Answer, showing further how versatile they can be with their sound.rHowever, it suffers from the recurring problem of thorny vocals and could have done with a better-flowing structure, possibly being longer. Including more elements from the lead-up to its release like awesome single Blessed, Cursed and Crucified, plus acoustic tunes from 'Who's In Charge' and the atmosphere of 30-minute epic 'The Body Limits' could have made for a killer record.
