| 4.0 excellent | Voivod STAFF | September 11th 14 | Bolzer build on the acclaimed merit of the Aura EP with two tracks of groovy, transcendental and mazed death metal that clock at almost 20 minutes of time. Although the element of surprise is absent and Soma merely picks up from where Aura ended, band is still far from saturation and sets the bar higher for a future full length album, although the string of EPs has worked well so far.

| 0.0 | emester | July 28th 14 | Even though it is only 18 minutes long and contains 2 tracks, Bolzer continues to impress with their second EP, Soma.
While it may not be the absolute beast that was Aura, Soma once again brings forth Bolzer's vile and atmospheric take
on blackened death metal. Cant wait for the bands first LP 3.8/5

| 4.0 excellent | maninthebox | December 31st 14 | Bolzer continues their reign over the kvlt like world of underground extreme metal in 2014 due to a sensational appearance at MDF (which I regrettably missed) but also largely in part to this astounding EP which brings to the table black and death metal as well as something special in the song writing department. While neither of the two tracks on this release quite measure up to the amazing songs found on their previous EP ?Aura? Steppes and the behemoth ?Labyrinthian Graves? are quite an impressive example of Bolzer?s ability to combine typical metal influences with psychedelic elements. Believe me, there?s a reason this 18 minute EP is on a list filled with hour long full lengths.

| 0.0 | Pon EMERITUS | August 18th 14 | Possibly the best metal EP of the year so far, which says a lot seeing as it's just two songs long.

| 4.0 excellent | lalchimiste | August 7th 14 | Although not as instantly rewarding as 'Aura' was back in 2013, 'Soma' is a monster of a rrecord if you give it time to sink in. This one shows yet another face of Bolzer's take on rdeath metal while still retaining the core elements present in their past work which made this 2-piece band so unique. r

| 4.0 excellent | charlie6026961 | August 5th 14 | Easily as good as "Aura" even if it only contains two songs. "Aura" was broader in thematic scope, with lots of
open space to build a cosmic atmosphere. "Soma" bursts right into riffing, blasting, and howling from the first
second. This is an excellent contrast to the companion EP. The music here seems more direct and the
performance is even more focused. While not as initially impressive as the tracks on Aura, I feel these two songs
will grow on a lot of people. "Soma" proves that the stir caused by "Aura" was no fluke. These guys are top-tier
songwriters, and it's likely that their best is yet to come.
