Ultra-technical thrash insanity that splits your head open. Sadus's finest hour without a doubt.

The most technical sadus album. Looks like this fool idnuf has no clue what he is talking about, as this is one of the most unique and technical thrash releases ever. Far more than anything the band has done before, or since. Dispite its high technicality(which sadus is well know for) this one just doesnt seem to be as intense as the two before, but the solid, Spartan musichainship, and complex song structures make up far that quite well. Dont get me wrong, this album still has fast and intense moments, and this is still faster than most thrash you will find out there, but its kinda slow for Sadus.this is top notch technical death/thrash, and has a heavier sound than previous sadus albums. for the year that was 1992, this was, and still is way ahead of its time. Much more advanced than what most bands in the thrash genre were releasing in '92.'91-'92 was the era of half-thrash, and groove metal, such as metallica' shitty black album, Megadeth's Coundown To Extinction, Testament's The Ritual and pantera's VDOP.Just as most thrash bands were getting simplistic and "commercial", Sadus was getting more sophisticated. This is much better than any of that rubbish. Screw the posers, and the haters. This band is resposible for some of the most intricate, technical, and agressive music ever recorded, and this album is a perfect example of the band's ablities.

i like how by their third album Sadus had heard that "technical death metal" was a thing, so they just decided to do that too. yeah who needs thrash anyway m///

This one is kind of weird in that it feels like they went backwards in their evolution. The wankeriness is way up, and the record feels erratic in construction, incessantly switching grooves, genres and tempos, breaking a lot of tracks which would otherwise be individually nice. By 6 they had lost me really. 1 feels like an 80's record, which is another layer to the overall feel of backwards evolution. 2 is kind of bm-ish and nice but is short. 3 is nice, fun and technical, but the second half is wankery although it unfolds in a nice riffy conclusion. 4 has fun bits here and there but by then you really feel how erratic and wankerier the record is. Like 5 ends on a slow paced doom riff? It just doesn't work. Thankfully, 8 and 9 bring the quality way up, 8 being nice and aggressive, and 9 bringing pleasant proggy bass here and there. The album conclusion on an ominous mysterious melody is extremely nice and a very good choice. Not my fancy in terms of thrash records, but these last two tracks bump this back up to a 3.2

great instrumentation. would get a 4 if the vocals weren't so grating. When the vocalist attempts to scream as high as he possibly can he just sounds like he's choking.
