MAGIC! do well enough to kill the magic themselves with their obnoxious songs filled with awful lyrics and grating vocals.

I'm not going to rant about why it shouldn't be popular. "Rude" is criminally catchy, of course this heap of steaming goat crap is popular. This band is the epitome of a snore-fest. The production is so over-the-top that it makes you wonder if it's a computer making this. Lyrics? Forget it. MAGIC! tries too hard to be reggae when it simply doesn't work. Sorry, but a half done guitar solo doesn't make you reggae, it makes you mediocre. Avoid this at all costs.

Along with one of the stupidest band names out there, MAGIC! manages to be boring repatitive, generic and incredibally juvinile. There sound is near impossible to distingish from any other modern day pop rock outfit. Completely generic compositions, horribly amatuerish musicianship and some of the silliest lyrics I've heard in a while, MAGIC!'s debut is astonishingly forgettable and impossible to take seriously.
