This album fucking kicks ass. Caleb's performance is unbelievable and every song basically has a catchy awesome chorus. Its too bad the instrumentals aren't on par with Caleb but the album is dope nonetheless. Not a bad track on here.

Caleb pulls a Jonathan Davis on the last track, "Sick and Disgusting". The only difference is, the result actually is an emotional and intense track. Disgusting is a fantastic album with lots of energy, and proves that Beartooth are a band with serious potential.

Owyeah, melometalcore with sing-along choruses. Gotta say, while the purely musical aspect didn't stand out among the fucking red ocean that was melometalcore, some of the choruses are damn effective ("Beaten in Lips", "One More"). Some of them are obnoxious tho, like - oh surprise - on the most-streamed track "In Between".

The music while not inventive is strong enough, but the power and appeal comes more so from Shomo's performance. From beginning to end he is brim with energy with his aggressive shouts/screams and overall vocal performance. You can feel the passion in his voice as he goes from song to song tackling various personal experiences. While not the strongest music from the genre it's good to see musical artists that are this honest with themselves and open with their music.

While not groundbreaking, Beartooth's first effort is energetic, spastic and a little crazy. Both the clean and harsh vocals from Caleb Shomo are particularly excellent. While I would have loved something a little more unique or complex, Disgusting does it's job well.

One can be forgiven for assuming that Beartooth have formed for the sole purpose of pleasing 'mallcore' cannibals far and wide. However, in comparison to such acts like Attack Attack!, Issues, and I See Stars, these guys don't focus on inane electronics and decide to go along with natural emotion, as heard throughout their debut album Disgusting. The instrumentation hardly fares, but Caleb Shomo's vocal performance (especially on "Sick & Disgusting") saves this first release from drowning in absolute sorrow.

The facts that I enjoy a record that features the brainchild behind Attack Attack! this much is mildly alarming. The music isn't particularly adventurous and the screams can be underwhelming, but the hooks and clean vocals are seriously fantastic.
