I acknowledge the stupidity of my next statement here, but it is true: Talk Dirty is
more fun than the new Swans.

If I was to give this album .5 for each time he mentions wanting to marry someone, I'd give it a 5. That's not how it works though. This album sucks.

Horrendous lyrics aside, "Wiggle" is fairly catchy in a moronic, but still passable way, and the saxophone utilized on the title track is sort of recognizable. The majority of Talk Dirty just doesn't cut it, sadly enough, as Jason Derulo's attempts at singing are pretty bad and the guest appearances aren't worth crap; Snopp Dogg's delivery of 'Damn, baby, you got a bright future behind you' admittedly made me laugh when I first heard him say that, but it was an initial reaction.

A reissue of an already very impressive album, Talk Dirty jumbles the tracklist of its predecessor in an effort to reignite the smouldering ashes of what ultimately was a commercial failure. And it's a success, as not only is the new single is a massive hit, but alongside the other new songs it utilises more of the title track's urban percussion as well as the talents of a great many of both pop and hip-hops big names (both vocally and in the records larger range of producers. Inevitably a bigger hit in America than the original format, Talk Dirty is interesting to a die hard fan only as an example of how wide Derulo's comfort area is, and that he can not only pull of more adventurous songs, but return back to basics just as seamlessly.
