A black metal classic. A must hear for any fan of the genre. To quote allmusic.com: "A graceful mixture of classical majesty and black metal brooding and aggression."

a lot of different styles churned around, often too slow where it really doesn't need to be in an attempt to be epic but misses the mark most of the time. still their doomy dimmyness works wonderfully in fall of man, and to thou is a great banger

It is pretty, and I loved the atmosphere - however not every song was that really memorable for me. But still I really-really liked this one.

A successful supergroup outing! You don't hear that often. Members of Ulver, Emperor and Mayhem join together to put out an excellent symphonic experimental Black Metal album. THe atmosphere created by the synths and tremolo picked guitar riffs is wonderul, and Garm's vocals are of course as always just amazing. My favourite thing about it though might be the perfectly used and placed virtuosic guitar and keyboard solos, showing the members can actually play their instruments.
