I have been a YES fan since 1978 , I suppose i got into the band late given their output from 68 to 77
I am a YES whole - meaning i like all periods of YES accept all the lineup changes and prepared to listen to and embrace all the musical styles . I count Classic YES , Rabin YES and Abwh as the one band - i dont get hung up about it . Now i am 52 , I dont care if YES make another Topographic . I dont care if YES make another Edge , I dont care if YES make another fragile . What i am open to is new styles of music . I came to this forum in response to a negative review of Heaven and earth and got slated for it . I dont give a monkeys what people think of me . The builk of the reviewers had listened to the record prior to release , . Having just purchased the cd and had the opportunity to listen to the full dynamic sound , i will not change my opinion that it is a fine record . relaxing and melodic . Davison does a fine job not only in singing but also in writing . The whole band needs to be congratulated . Well done YES .
I met the band recently on tour @ Manchester uk , A fine concert from a great bunch of musicians . Thank you YES

Heaven & Earth will have you spending 52 minutes waiting for something remotely interesting to happen. Sadly, it never does. The band that is still calling themselves Yes these days will need something more than a new singer to find their stranded creativity. Ironically, even with someone who sounds closer to Jon Anderson than his two previous replacements, these old men have never sounded less like themselves.

It is very hard to admit that YES, one of the bands that created prog rock, record such a poor album. Their approach was terrible and I don't know where to start. Poor lyrics, extremely simplistic music (especially those drums!), disturbing synths, Anderson-clone vocals and the list goes on. I respect you mr. Howe but please take hands with mr. Scholz and his Boston ship and enter that pantheon. Stop being ridiculous. It's a shame
