| 4.0 excellent | CamiloG | October 11th 15 | This album marks a turning point in Moonspell's sound, leaving behind the Black/Gothic Metal elements of the two previous records, to embrace a more Electronic Rock sound. Though it is a drastic change, it sounds completely outstanding in my opinion. The album has a very unique atmosphere, with the most prominent element being the keyboards, which sound particularly good here. There are also some nice solos here and there. Overall an excellent record, with many songs to please the listener.

| 5.0 classic | beheritbaphomet | November 26th 12 | My favorite goth metal album of all time; Moonspell's finest hour to boot. The atmosphere and guitar riffs are amazing, and the vocal lines become stuck in my head for days after only one return listen-through. Abysmo, mute, V.C. and The Hanged Man are masterpieces. Truly, an unknown classic.

| 5.0 classic | varianmascollel | May 31st 08 | Despite being not much of a metal album unlike Moonspell's other products, it is probably Moonspell's most outstanding album alongside Wolfheart. This is maybe because it is different or musically "beautiful" or most probably both. It is full of pop songs and Riberio's soft Depeche Mode like vocals and (or a but if you are metal head), most of the songs are excellently written; using classical rock themes with electronic pop influences.
When I first listened this album, I was 15. I remember that friend brought it over and I was thrilled because Moonspell was my favorite band those days. Imagine my fragile mind's disappointment, Wolfheart and Irreligious and this? I picked it up, again though, five years later in college. I guess I needed some time to grow up to appreciate this album.
Overall, this album contains some of the finest rock songs you can listen to. It is dark, innovative and well executed. Especially, the sequence starting with "Mute" to the end of album might be one of the finest sequences in an album, ever.
