The movie was really good and deserves an especially high rating but this soundtrack is pretty standard. The high rating it has right now makes it seem like most sputnikers don't regularly listen to soundtracks.

An emotional rollercoaster of ballads that perfectly fits an amazing movie. Don't expect the poppy, african-music-influenced, energetic and dancable songs found on the band's previous effort, "Reflektor". "Her" is a refined collection of heart-wrenching ballads. Any superior to "Reflektor"? No, different, but certainly at the same level of quality Arcade Fire constantly display with each move they make.

The calming, relaxed score fits the movie perfectly and stands alone as a terrific piece of work. The piano and string combinations are done perfectly. Highlights of the score are "Some Other Place" and "Owl". The score creates a sense of beauty and relaxation. Perfect stress reliever. Awesome score.
