The new Grand Magus album brings about the "same ol' same ol'" dilemma; When (almost) all is said and done, is it possible for a classic metal act such as Grand Magus to come up with fresh material? The answer for Triumph and Power is a definitive yes, should the album be played loud, and I'm looking forward to catch the band live.

After six albums the band should have been more ambitious and explored new territories, however Grand Magus consistency and passion for classic metal deserves our recognition.

I had the same attitude (exploring new territories and stuff) in my review of The Hunt, Notrap. Now, I think you don't really have to be terribly adventurous if you play your music as well as these guys. This is their most consistent album yet.

A great ode to heavy metal. It is nice to know there are still people letting the purest form of the genre alive. A very listenable, cohesive record that will keep you engaged all the way through.r
