| 4.5 superb | purezephyr | November 20th 13 | This is everything Tomorrow We Die Alive wanted to be, probably one of the best 'deathcore' albums I've ever listened to. Technical, beautiful and heavy as fuck. The lyrics are interesting and the vocals are spectacular, kinda wish we heard more of the cleans though.

| 4.5 superb | Nyte77 | November 15th 13 | Absolutely awesome. I've been a fan of Ovdi since I heard "Grothis, the Insatiable" a couple of months ago. Such great musicians, such heavy music. I found myself wondering if I wanted anything more from this album. Then I realized: best album of the year so far in my book.

| 0.0 | DarknessPrevails | May 6th 14 | J.J. "Shiv" Polachek has proven himself twice this year with both Monotheist and Ovid's Withering, though this album is by far the best of the two. This is a fantastic release that combines elements of progressive and technical death metal, djenty sections, and symphonic pieces to create one epic beast of an album. At 73 minutes in length, it never drags and keeps you hooked the whole way through. This is an awesome release from a band that I will definitely be keeping my eyes on.

| 3.0 good | Pennywise_M | April 10th 14 | While the returning hit "Oedipus Complex", the newly arrived "Winter In Tomis" and the
beautiful "Falsehood of Blasphemous Voices" make an excellent case for the band's formula as
they excel in creativity and manage to sound like well written pieces, tracks like "Murder
To Dissect" and the much fermented "The Reckoning. The Summoning. The Purge" only serve to
prolong the chug fest beyond reasonable length (the latest being of a somewhat messy
composition full of odd transitions that hardly manage to work no matter how many times i
listen to it). Other than that, the production works well for the most part but as often,
the synths feel bloated and cut the edge of the guitars to an extent, which only
occasionally take the main stage. Having that said, the returning tracks still boost a
significant quality increase for the production. Scryers Of The Ibis is a solid album but
the impetuous synths and chugalongs that were meant to work well through the whole album,
only get the job done in certain moments. All in all, old and new songs, this album serves
as a good showcase of the band's enormous potential and one can only wonder how will a
future, more unilateral effort hold up to the band's capabilities.
