What makes this album great is also it's biggest flaw. "Patricidal Lust" is basically an old school death metal album with modern day production, which means it's raw, murky, heavy, and entirely unoriginal. It'll get you headbanging for sure, but you know you've heard this all in a Incantation/Entombed/Cannibal Corpse/some other really big influential death metal band. If you can set aside this notion, then you will enjoy this, Otherwise you probably won't.
