If Dr. Octagonecolygist was an experiment, consider it a successful one. The MCing is decent, but that’s not the focus. The hypercreative production and outrageously weird lyrics go very well together. If the thought of a half-shark-alligator/half-man or a time travelling gynecologist from Jupiter appeals to your sense of humor or imaginative side, this album is for you.

Man, I used to really jam this album in 2010, before I listened to more hip-hop. The thing about this album is that it definitely has style, but that's 100% of the appeal, and once you really dig the lyrics apart, it becomes apparent this album only really works if you turn your brain off. In the very least, it does invite you to do this, but after familiarizing with more classics, this comes off as more of a step in a progression than a pivotal launch point.

If you're ever looking for a rap soundtrack for a horror movie/porno that takes place in outer space, here ya go. Extremely strange and unique rapping, lyrics, beats, nothing else really sounds like this 90's hip-hop gem. I could probably do without a few songs but the rest of it makes up for that. Very offensive as well which is always a plus when playing for friends or strangers.
