Doesn't shy from it's influences. Raw, visceral and at times melodic alternative music. Unpretentious. Slightly unoriginal. Listen to the attack in the opening snare fill from "Dope Calypso" or the haunting catchy-ness of lyric: "Why does everything you say sound hollow?" from "In the Aisle." Commonly referred as being influenced by Nirvana, but I hear strong Smashing Pumpkins vibes here as well. Their strength is their simplicity, a certain direct brute force that makes you want to truly live in the moment and be young again.
