I think considering who we have coming off the fake show of american idol, this guy is alright. His lyrics may seem kinda Whishy washy and the constant style of love lyrics kinda gets old. his voice is very good indeed i would say. Songs such as its not over Really make it seem an ok album. i wouldnt say its all fake just... to much like rock is becoming today. all in all for an american idol guy he does good.

I expected more from daughtry than what i got, what i got was repetition, repeating of the same song over and over again. It starts with "Its Not Over" and the rest are just clones, with different hooks. i was extreamly disapointed

As a fan of progressive rock and many quality Hip Hop artists, I must say I'm quite dissapointed that just because an artist is maintstream, it automatically gains the title of wack or unoriginal. Some of the songs here really speak to the heart, and if this music was underground.....hmm would we see a reverse of the ratings. By no means am I calling this classic material, but by no means am I saying that it's not quality contemporary music either.

Debuting with powerful vocals backed by generic fretwork and for the most part uninteresting song structuring, Daughtry has little to add to an ever growing genre other than memorable vocals, but even those vocals aren't enough to bring this album out of the depths of mediocrity.

this album really speaks to you. coming off the dissapointing american idol season he lost but was rightfully his. he wanted to speak to peoples hearts and minds, he wanted to give them something to show that when you're down, your not out. to always have faith in yourself that you WILL succeed regardless of your past faliures and dissapointments. he gave this country a true heart pounder of an album. he accomplished everything he wanted to and more.he has created a pulse pounding album that will speak to generation to generation. TILL. THE. END. OF. TIME. CHRIS. LIVES.

Painfully generic and easy to pick on. Certain songs are interesting, but a large percentage of the album is filler. Painfully generic, bottom of the barrel, radio-play fodder.

mind numbingly boring pop rock trying to be mainstream post grunge. Daughtry has an awesome voice, but he over-uses it on this album. The only thing good about this album other than his over-used voice is Slash's solo on one song, and other than that, the album is completely drained and everything is the fucking same.

Wow... I was disappointed, but i really shouldn't, because really, what do you expect from an American idol album.
Sorry got out of of hand there, but seriously, the album did suck, i thought it would of been good since Daughtry's voice is so good. i was utterly disappointed, but like a said its an American idol album, one of the best too. Still Sucked
The album starts with "Its Not Over" and despite not having orignal lyrics, is a good song, but then i listen to the next track, and its the same frigging track, then went to the next track and the next track, there all clones, except with different chours's.
And while im listening i dont get annoyed, untill the song "Crashed" comes along, it is the current king of repetitive lyrics, with daughtry trying to sing about being crashed or something. after that, even the the Slash feature couldn't help.
The album was an utter disappointment, dont buy it, its for your own good
Warning: do not buy any new stuff by Slash, because for appearing on this album, he has officially sold his soul.

Chris Daughtry's Album is bad...I saw him at the AI concert and he screams and frowns and now he thinks that THIS album is his money maker...I do not see him selling out concerts...his venues are small and I understand that he walked out without an encore. He is a jerk. His voice will not hold up...maybe he can go home to his new big house and cry about it being OVER.
