This album is not worth purchasing if you own all the tracks on 'Love' on original Beatles CDs. The remixes are not much different than the real songs. I would reccomend this purchase to someone without and Beatles albums, but not for anyone who actually owns their CDs.

Reads like a greatest hits, but greater.
Produced by George Martin and his son, this mash up album brings The Beatles back to life whilst meandering through The Beatles repitoire and, as you'd expect, delivers on every track.
Beatles buffs will even have the added enjoyment of trying to figure out which songs the samples have been taken from.
The highlight has to be Strawberry Fields Forever, which begins with Lennon's origional demo for the song and builds and builds untill at the end of the track there are about 5 different Beatles songs just all going at once.

Wow. This is simply amazing. They changed enough without destroying what made the material great in the first place. Too many favourite tracks to mention, but I will urge you to listen to the renewed Within You, Without You with the added percussion from Tomorrow Never Knows. Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds is a little bolder, and Get Back is oddly groovier than before aswell.
Overall, the best Beatles mix tape ever!

I just got this album to se what were the beatles were like, and I have to say I was very impressed, they wrote some really great songs for there time and my favorite has to be 'yesterday'.

I was pretty wary about this at first, since I'm a big Beatles fan, and the original songs are amazing, but I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed this. They did a great job of combining song elements together to create new sounds.

I reccomend this to anyone I meet who hasn't really listened to The Beatles before and every time that person becomes a fan. A remix album so to say that feels very natural. Songs are combined and spliced with other songs that create a colorful palette of the Beatles discography. Any Beatles fan who is skeptical about getting a complitation album shouldn't worry because this makes those classic Beatles tunes even better (if that's possible). All in all this is a fresh outlook on some old material and s The Beatles in a special way.

why does everyone like this cd? it's horrible! they chop up and muck up classic beatles songs, and THEN sell it to the masses? it's insane. If you want beatles music, buy a REAL beatles cd.

Pretty decent all around, I heard it at a friends place, but really if you're already into The Beatles this isn't a good buy. If you're trying to start getting into them then this'll work alright.

Love is less of an album, more of an adventure. There are almost no breaks in the music in this album, just an hour and twenty minutes of straight Beatles. The album transitions from the beginning, more pop sound, through the psychadelic phase of the Beatles' music, and finally reaches the super-mega-hits like Hey Jude, a Day in the Life, and All You Need is Love. The only song that disappoints is the scrambled Gnik Nus, which is almost a waste of 50 seconds. Luckily the rest of the album is flawless and just gets better and better as it progresses. 'Love' is one of the few albums I can honestly say that, when you hear a song, you think it's amazing. Then, you hear the next song, and it's even better. The entire album improves upon itself until the climactic closing of All You Need is Love. Adding in the little sign-off by Mr. Johnny Lennon himself is just the cherry on top of the hot-fudge sundae that is LOVE.

At first I was very skeptical about a Beatles remix album. Then I found out the original producer and his son were attached, in addition to it being for a cirque du solei show. I gave it a chance, and it's given me something new to listen to as a Beatles fan.
