I found this album great! It always reminds me of the show i went to with them. The album just has such an intense mood. It kind of puts you on the edge of your seat when your listening.Besides that this is just a great album!

the best metalcore band that no one has heard, shadowed by the similar title with 2006 realease of the move "The Devil Wears Prada" there is definatley a similarity between the two. Thats Style, this cd i expected to be a flop and yet to my suprise this cd has made me a hardcore fan, with the vocal abilities to rival spencer chamberlin and Trevor from the black dahlia murder..theres no reason any metal core fan should not be imressed by this band, with this there freshmen release theres nothin to expect from a future sophmore realese then even better things!!

This band is intelligent and unique. For some odd reason, I can relate to almost all your songs on your new album, "Plagues". There is meaning behind these words you preach in your songs.
Your drummer drums like none other, that has ever lived and walked this green earth.
Your Keyboardist and synthesizer is the sickest boarder since Beethoven and his fucking piano. Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over 's ending = so sick. Such conviction is used in the sound put into this.
Your vocalist... Gohdayum. Usually, every band has the screamer who is usually one or the other. Your fucking vocalist mixes it up and does both, very well, and very instilling. By that, I mean high and low screams. siiiiick.
Your guitar and bassist are like the structure upon which the band lays upon. Their music attributes every piece of this band, making the whole thing more spectacular.
Bottom line, my favorite band.

Many people believe that this stuff is "generic." I don't know where those conclusions came from, but to me, it's fresh, it's original, it's better than a lot of other metalcore I've heard out there. There are literally no breakdowns in TDWP songs, and their song structures are varied. Rarely does the listener hear the same thing twice. The vocalist has a wide range of screams and roars, and if you like singing in your metalcore, it's guaranteed as well. For people who haven't made an attempt at the album, I say ignore the critics and give it a shot. ;)

TDWP is the best metalcore act out there right now. I believe this to be true because the vocals are tasteful and the songs all have their own feel. I think they implement the keys very well and they don't just add a mediocre twist to the music. This band reminds me of a better structured Mushroomhead. A great addition to the Christian music roster. -Rizz

This was one of my favorite Metalcore albums in middle school. If you are a fan of Metalcore, it's worth a try. The keyboard melodies are very atmospheric, and the lyrics are great. The clean vocals are also very good, and structure is well put together.

While the Devil Wear Prata show they are unlike any other metalcore/hardcore outfit. They did need to work on overall song structures/song writeing. This album has plenty of awesomely timed breakdowns and interesting riffs. The problem lies with the things in between thsoe moments that really damper this album. Another problem that they had in this album is the consistant quality of good songs, some songs seem filler or rushed. Overall good debut, but lots of room to progress into something better.

This album was a huge step in the progression of Post-Hardcore. The intense amount of screaming can turn away some other post-hardcore fans, but I urge them to give this CD a chance. Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over and Rosemary Had an Accident have some of the sickest riffs I've ever heard. Check it out!

Easily one of the worst bands I've ever heard. Nothing about this band is unique except the keyboards, and the rest of the music is so bland it kills.
Definitely a must buy if youre a guy with a trendy haircut who wears girl pants, makeup, and goes to church every Sunday.

@ Arnynerd , this album may seem dull and boring to the untrained ear.
Really a good metalcore album, nice growling (not screaming but top notch growling on some songs) , clean vocals arent that abd either. I like the way they add variation to their songs and change the tune suddenly. Although one may get pissed off at some points its really cool when you hear it more than once.
Nice album, so buy it.
