| 0.0 | Jack Mancuso EMERITUS | September 15th 13 | From what I can gather from the album art, this is a concept album about a gorilla in football pads who goes
around a dystopian city exacting revenge on the corporate bigwigs who destroyed his natural habitat, all
while growling redneck ditties about sexual assault.

| 1.5 very poor | DaveyBoy EMERITUS | December 13th 13 | Much - and deservedly - maligned New Jersey quintet Waking The Cadaver continue to brutalize our ears with their 3rd LP 'Real-Life Death'. It's really just more of the same amateur'ish death-metal, with some tweaks here & there that don't necessarily have a positive or negative effect. Even at just 29 minutes in length, this 8 track album is repetitive & soon becomes rather headache-inducing. More indecipherable vocals, more atrocious lyrics & more recycled riffs are par for the course. Ultimately, this is better than their debut LP & at about the same quality as predecessor 'Beyond Cops, Beyond God'. Recommended Tracks: Business As Usual & Life Lesson.

| 1.5 very poor | Kronzo | December 5th 13 | Improving ever so slightly from their sophomore release, Beyond Cops. Beyond God. Waking the Cadaver deliver with another album chalk-full of awful pig squeals, breakdowns, and rehashed death metal riffs. The drumming has probably improved the most here since the last release, even though the snare drum sounds awful. This is probably the most listenable release they have ever put out, which really isn't saying much.

| 1.0 awful | EasterInTheBatcave | December 3rd 15 | It's better than their debut, but then again, so is seppuku. Real-Life Death (which is one of the dumbest album titles I've ever heard) represents a small step forward for Waking the Cadaver, though they are still, at the moment, among the worst active metal bands.

| 2.0 poor | Jared Floryan | September 27th 14 | Looks like Don Campan and his thuggish squadron of wiggers went from hating shredded wheat... to raisin bran; yes, I'm well aware my attempts at being funny are outright cheap. Real-Life Death is a marginal improvement over Perverse Recollections of a Necromangler, though the bro-oriented aspects and overabundance of chugged riffs keep it from getting just near decent.

| 3.0 good | TriangularDuck | October 20th 13 | Honestly, seriously, this is actually not an awful album. Miles ahead of their first one, and a good progression from Beyond Cops, Beyond God.
