This is about the most blackened piece of music I've heard all year. It sometimes reminds me of early Candlemass and other times of very early MDB, but with a unique and original twist thanks to those well-orchestrated parts throughout. 'Malefica', 'A failed exorcism' and 'Ordeal' alone made me want to check these guys out more. The closer is a little underwhelming for me, but even then there's a sense of grandiosity and epic overtones.

This is much better than the last album. Kept my interest the whole way through, even though it's about an hour and 20 minutes long.

Probably one of the most interesting black metal albums you could possibly listen to this
year. Despite its incredible length I was enjoying every minute of it. This album has heavy
amounts of doom metal riffs and the songs are filled with some amazing atmosphere. One track
in particular *Malefica* gives off this feeling that of your own inevitable demise.
Intense.If you have the patience for this, sit down and enjoy it!

Embrace the gloom. Death doom with some funeral doom, and, most importantly, black metal is the good kind of mixture you wanna come up with if you wanna tell anti-religious tales. What makes this different though, is the way chants are incorporated to liturgical riffs to create a ritualistic, almost occult feeling. Cthulhu would dig.
