A combination of Skyshaper's energy and Modern Ruin's atmosphere, Leaving Babylon is something of a return to form for Covenant. It's not a faithful return to their roots, but the small innovations and nods to other genres are enough to set it apart from their past discography, once again moving them into a niche of their own creating.

This an absolutely astonishing album, I was surprised as hell when I heard this. I was definitely not expecting as much as I did. Fantastic album, this could be a top of the line contestant for the AOTY.
