It's a bit strange having Confrontation be officially the last Bob Marley and The Wailers studio album, given that Marley died before it's release and that many of the tracks here were previously unfinished. It does have the all-time great "Buffalo Soldier", and the underrated "I Know", which may have hinted at the direction Marley wanted to go towards musically before his untimely death, but plenty of these songs are a bit too redundant and uneventful to be considered great, especially this deep into the discography the group so masterfully created in the years beforehand. Some of it just lacks the charm that records like Survival had, and it's truly a shame we couldn't get to hear what some of the songs would've sounded like had Marley had a hand in finishing them. Needless to say, this album is quite the bittersweet experience.
