Solid for sure, especially the musicianship. However the production and vocals especially are hugely problematic to me. The direction they chose with this album also isn't it in my opinion. Wankier, but this time purposlessly, and the music has a very dissonant Voivod vibe to it. That and the hardcore vocals just sound really weird combined with the techy music.

It's the kind of record that needs a few spins to really start to grow, but once it does, it carries some really enjoyable moments. Based on top level musicianship and smart arrangements "Feeding The Abscess" is a very interesting piece of work that belongs in any technical death metal collection.
