This record feels more emotionally stable than MLIW's debut, and that will impact the way it's received amongst its fans-- nobody's screaming at us anymore, asking us what the fuck we're going to do. And this, unfortunately, will lead to a lot of MLIW fans being disappointed because the record doesn't stand out as much as Witness, both in songwriting and lyrics. But I actually really enjoy the more mature direction here-- this record feels more thought-out than Witness did, and lands more consistently on the ground instead of having certifiable peaks to its dynamics.

Excellent album! I've listened to it a couple times now, and I'm already in love with it. It will surely stay in my favorite playlist for a while. A few more listens will probably raise this to a 4.5 rating. What a nice comeback from a great band!
