Not falling into a sophomore slump, Battlecross maintain their signature style of thrash/melodic death metal while adding enough variation and surprises to keep War of Will interesting.

Unfortunately, I'll have to say Battlecross has fallen into the 'sophomore slump'. The album, while still a solid work, is repetitive, lacks the energy of their previous work and also feels as if the BX boys have musically regressed.

After listening to this album a couple more times I've upped my rating slightly. This is a really kick ass album but it is too repetitive and not memorable enough to be considered a classic.
