This one goes HARD. The folky nods really makes this album stand out in his discog, as well as the female vocals in La Beche. As always, lyrics are edgy French paysan stuff but we're quite used to it by now. 3.8

My favorite KPN release so far. The standout moments are unforgettable and leave me hungering for more, replaying songs regularly. The folk elements are really amped up, and a lot of the weird experimental elements are toned way down, i?d definitely say this album is the perfect starting point because it?s quite accessible. The female vocals and melodies on La Bêche make it my favorite track hands-down. rI listened to this album 5 times straight in one sitting, and i can?t say i?ve done that before. I?m sure with time this will potentially bump up to a 5, but i still have a handful of albums to listen to by the band to compare. r

The band decides to (slightly) tone down the avante-gardness and settle for something more digestible than the previous two releases with a fair bit more emphasis on the band's folk influences. A great release by every means but it drags somewhat towards the back half. Anyway, how Famine hasn't murdered his throat yet will continue to be one of life's greatest mysteries
