This is actually a somewhat admirable mash-up of every Hot Topic trend in the past five years. Looking for keyboard-driven neon pop-punk? Brostep? Fistfuls of breakdowns, almost always introduced by a hilarious pit call? Misplaced instrumental shred sections? Hollywood Undead-esque rap sections? Boy band-esque pop songs? It's all in here. Put all that shit together and you have something almost truly next level.

I liked it to be honest, everyone is just butthurt because bands change and you all need to grow up and get over yourselves. I think what this all goes to show is that when things change, you guys can't adapt. Ronnie rapped in videos from his Escape the Fate days too so don't act like you all didn't see it coming.

"I've been in rap since I've been shittin in Pampers" would probably be enough to justify
this rating. But I'll go into more detail, most of the rap here is garbage, some of the
songs seem to just wildly fly around random genres on the fly, probably at Ronnie's whim.
The cheesy ballad "Keep Holding On" (Which manages to include a breakdown), slapped together
country song "Drifter" and "Bad Girls Club" (I can't even explain this one, hear it for
yourself) are probably three of the worst songs I've heard all year. A few shining moments
like the guilty fun I had listening to the opener "Champion", the pure hilarity of the
record, and some of the lead work (most notably "Born to Lead") gives FIR's sophomore
release a couple points, but not enough to recommend this to anyone.

To be fair, the musicians do know there way around their instrument and hold some interest and Radke is a decent vocalist. Not great, but decent. However, all compliments I have to immediately take back once I hear the lyrics. They suck hard. It doesn't help that the album has MPD, wildly switching genres without a way to connect it all together. It's just comes across as a bit of a haphazard mess.

The rapping clown Ronald McDonald Radke should do a duet with Insane Clown Posse. This narcissistic nimrod will cater to a few scene kids that will grow up and be ashamed that they ever listened to him. I'd say to avoid this album like the plague, but dying off from a plague would be heaven compared to this dreck.

Fashionably Late is the second LP to be released by Falling In Reverse. Falling In Reverse released the album via Epitaph Records on June 18th 2013. In May 2013 the two Singles for the album "Alone" and "Fashionably Late' were released on May 7th and May 21st respectively. I first heard "Alone" after I saw it in the recommendations on Youtube after I had just watched the Music Video for Sleeping With Sirens song "Alone" off their album Feel. I decided to check out the Falling In Reverse song, I honestly thought it was a Cover of the Sleeping With Sirens song. I clicked on the Music Video and instantly fell in love with the band. I immediately searched Youtube for the entire album after I heard that song. I am not saying that Fashionably Late is the greatest of all time or my favorite album, Trust me it is not my favorite album and I definitely dislike some stuff from the CD. I can say that "Alone" or "*** The Rest" are my favorite songs on the disk. I can say I don't think I have ever fully listened to "Champion" or "Self-Destruct Personality" because I hate Ronnie Radke's yelling and screaming. I like how versatile the vocals from Ronnie are. I like how he can make screaming sound good going from a really poppy sound, He can go from really soft to heavy and back and make it sound really good in my opinion. I know that Falling In Reverse gets a lot of hate. I think it gets so much hate because honestly the band has such a unique sound, Not a lot of bands or groups sound so different all around. I know some people may be thinking anyone can yell and then go to clean vocals but to add a poppy sound and some electronic sounds I think it sounds awesome and unique. One of the few bands I can think of that sound kind of like them is The Summer Set and they don't even sound fully like them. Fashionably Late is a very unique sounding album and I seriously dig that and not everybody may like that but I think it is good for a band to change their sound with each album. I prefer this CD over The Drug In Me Is You. I would recommend Fashionably Late to anyone who likes Pop, Hard Rock, Metalcore, Or even Hip Hop music to be honest. Who knows this could be your next favorite record.

Between shaving my pubic hair with a laser-powered chainsaw and sitting through a repeat of Fashionably Late, I would rather feel content with picking the former option. Falling in Reverse's second full-length album is - just like this particular soundoff and the band's debut - a nasty box set of ideas which don't function if presented, let alone as a single concept. Ronnie Radke, however, made this one even worse by accentuating his ego and writing lyrics that wouldn't seem out of place for a deformed, redundant high school setting. The incorporation of some new sounds (e.g. the notorious style of crunkcore) also comes across as simply a mess; yes, some of the transitions during tracks are *that* egregious. Bottom line: stay the fuck away from this monstrosity. You would certainly do yourselves a huge favor.

Falling In Reverse have never been a great band. Their debut, "The Drug In Me Is You", was basically a consistently average album by an average band.
There was still hope for Falling In Reverse. Jacky Vincent is a talented guitarrist and Ryan Seaman is a good drummer. But not even them could save the band from the disasterous excuse of a record that is their second effort, "Fashionably Late".
Awful songwriting. Horrible singing. Inaproppriate use of autotune. Terrible lyrics. Generic song structures. In "Fashionably Late" Ronnie Radke's ego takes over and transforms the vocalist into an awful rapper and the average band into an awful one. Is this catchy? Yes. Is this any good? Heck no.
Falling In Reverse released what is one of the worst "efforts" (no, this didn't take any effort), not only of 2013, but of the past 10 years. "Fashionably Late" is the album that destroys the few good things about this band. This doesn't even have a genre. It isn't screamo. It isn't Metalcore. It isn't Rap. It isn't Pop. It's just Ronnie Radke's ego in it's "musical" form. It's not worth it to write a lot about this, it's just awful. Even the kid who recommended me this record realized this is a terrible record. I don't recommend this to anyone.

Falling In Reverse were already an average band. Of course, Jacky Vincent and Ryan Seaman are truly talented musicians, but not even them can save the Metalcore/Rapcore/Emocore/Screamo/Shitcore band from what it has became due to Ronnie Radke's larger-than-life ego, awful rapping and terrible ideas. An album that took a few spins to really grow on me but when it did I really enjoyed it. This is a solid enough album that has a few selling points and then a lot that also drags it down and keeps it as merely an average release. The rap flows are consistently tight on the tracks where they appear-no matter how much of a queefing turd Ronnie Radke is in general, he can at least rap. Also, the screams are a little better than first time around, and the guitar riffs can occasionally be engaging. This is also an album with quite a bit of variety to it, including even a semi-country song toward the latter half of it. Sadly, it is let down by the silly breakdowns found on some songs and some of the most flat-out retarded lyrics ever put to record. "I got that white boy swagger"... Sure Ronnie, whatever you say.

Rating this one's a bit tough, because this is a very interesting album. There are some great ideas in here, but
their execution can sometimes fall flat. A good example are the random 'breaks' to hip-hop scattered
throughout "Champion", "Rolling Stone", and "Alone." The order of tracks aforementioned can also be noted
as the order as to how well these 'breaks' work. Instrumentally and vocally Falling in Reverse delivers, and the
album's production is MUCH better than their previous release (the drum samples were borderline
aggravating). There are some really standout tracks that help the album, such as the title track and "Born to
Lead." With a few surprises thrown in here and there, this is far from a poor album, but far from a classic
album either.
