Imperium (One of the best openers in the metal history) , left unfinished, in the prescence of my enemies, days turn blue to grey, seasons wither, all falls down, descend the shades of night (DESCEEEEEEEND!!!!....)....THIS ALBUM IS A MASTERPIECE....My second favorite Machine Head album

This album is return to what made Burn My Eyes so great. Very few tracks to skip on this album. Each song has something different from the last song. Descend the shades of night is a great song along with imperium and in the prescence of my enemies too.

Imperium gets this album off to a terrific start, but unfortunately its just downhill from there, with the majority of the songs seeming like generic Machine Head tracks.

Pretty much had everything id want in MH album, i will say the vocals at times to seem a bit forced but overall the album was a good listen.

This album shows Machine Head slowly finding their way back to the path of well constructed epic songs and riffs. It of course still a journey in progress on Ashes and some of the songs are still dragged down by immature lyrics and over the top Nu Metalish angst. That being said, some of the songs hit harder than a truck with their meaty groove oriented riffage and will pulverize you like no other with thrash like speed. This is definitely when Machine Head found their way back on track.
