The piano in the background along with the raw 2nd wave of bm riffs combined with the madness of the vocalist and his ways of singing give us probably the best bm album of the year.

Raw as fuck, unrelenting, straight second-wave worship. This pretty much sounds like DMDS, except twice as brutal.

Ugly and vicious black metal that's mainly ugly and vicious and not much else - the occasional synth layers work for the best, as well as the tribal percussions, but they don't appear as often as I would've liked.

While I can understand the general appeal in regard to this band's sound, I find myself rarely
enjoying CDG's attempts to craft an oppresive black metal atmosphere to more than a mild extent.

Evil...Sinister...Crushing. This album is the very definition of these words. A masterclass of raw black metal from none other than the world's most recent black metal breadbasket, Poland. Minor complaints: "The Passion of a Sorceress" could've used less witchy screaming and more chorus, also album needs more blast-beats!!! Overall however the drumming was great, the vocal range is one of the best in black metal, samples are very well utilized, and guitar tones couldn't be better.

One of the greatest black metal albums of all time. This is a true occult ritual that brings sounds made ugly by bands like Beherit, Mortuary Drape, Necromantia and Bathory. This is what black metal sounds like.

A true black metal master piece. The most perfect dirty production in years, the most sick vocalist in bm at the moment comparable only to Attila. I am surprised by how unnoticed the album is within sputnik, proof of the immaturity, irrelevance and trendy profile of most users who just regurgitate the opinion of few other people. A must for every to black metal fan.
