Recalling excellent debut 'Guillotine', Melbourne rockers British India continue their rebuild on 4th LP 'Controller'. Delivering more urgent, raw & catchy garage-rock, the quartet incorporate some welcome diversity & greater dynamics here; with improved use of pacing, build-ups & song structure. Declan Melia's yelping vocals remain & there's nothing overly technical about the instrumentation, but this is a genuine step forward for the band. It's just a shame that the momentum of the 1st 6 tracks cannot be maintained through the final 4. Recommended Tracks: I Can make You Love Me, Summer Forgive Me, Twice Inna Lifetime & Plastic Souvenirs.
