Phoenix is as mixed bag as you can get. Glis admitted himself that this was a very personal effort so what you get are songs that range from twinkly M83-esque ballads with female vocals to modern era New Order styled pop-rock to the typical hard hitting, beat driven ebm tracks he is known for.
