Wha Happen really shows Kurt's urge to try some experimental things while self entitled, Kurt Travis continues his creativity but also skill lyrically and instrumentally. It's short and sweet but expected since it's an EP. Throughout you can hear the authenticity and passion put into all the aspects. Kurt is one of those artist who seems to put his all into something which shows his great qualities whether as a front-man of a band or as a solo artist. Most artist who are typically in a band and then come out with a solo album make you kind of want to rub the back of your neck, look around confused, and walk off but not Kurt. He blends his organic and non organic music together very well. rKurt in his self entitled also shows how controlled he can keep his voice. He's not a pre Blue Sky Noise, Anthony Green just being able to do his bursts and what seemed like tricks to make up for the skill to really carry out a song without nilly willy things. We've seen Kurt vocally mature in his bands from Dance Gavin Dance a few years back to now in A Lot Like Birds.r1. Mt UtumnorIs a good intro to start getting you into the feel of the album and getting into the musicr2. illuvatar,3. The Valar,4. The MaiarrReally blend together to me, but they keep my foot tapping or head bobbin, very well constructed songs.r5. AngbandrThe perfect way to end the album. The rest of the album flows so perfectly into this personal and powerful ender.
