I've listened to this twice now... can't say it got better on second listen. There's just not much that gets my blood flowing here -- every single beat sounds slightly subdued and down-tempo. Maybe it will be a grower, and it's clearly successful at what it set out to accomplish (the story is well told, the atmosphere/mood is very solid, there's no real filler), but there's just something missing -- there's nothing here that makes me want to listen to it again. rThe Czarface album might be better...
