Images du Futur is a fragmented whole, a record that comes together precisely because of how disjointed it is. From pulsing bass to eerie guitar line, the album does a wonderful job of capturing atmosphere from one track to the next. Suuns does its best work when embracing eccentricities, though, with low-key track "Mirror Mirror" only standing out when the synths burst onto the scene in vivid technicolor. It's messy, as is the album's entire duration, but it's homely-- what else could we have asked for?
