Eclipse is infused with melodic synth sounds and dark, melancholic melodies. It is the first album I have heard from Amorphis and although I am not fond of growling vocals, I am willing to explore the band a bit more. Recommendations: "House of Sleep", "Leaves Scar".r

My second favorite Amorphis record.A great return from a great band after 2 mediocre albums...My favorite song in the album is totally "House of sleep", one of the catchiest chorus i have ever listened...also "Born from fire", "Empty opening", "Same flesh" (One of their best songs), "Under a soil and black stone" and "Brother moon" are among my favorites....GREAT ALBUM!!!

Enough stellar moments exist in Eclipse's runtime to make it an enjoyable album that should appeal to metalheads and those wanting a more relaxing, melodic listen compared to a number of other bands.

It's a really good album, the songs sound really fresh but still quite accessible. "House Of Sleep" is incredibly catchy, very hard to dislodge that riff from your head. The majority of the album reminds me of Moonspell's best moments.
