| 2.0 poor | Brabiz | May 13th 20 | For some reason the downfall of this band in particular makes me sad. They’re probably the only late 90’s/2000’s
adult alternative band who feels sort of timeless, and have a massive collection of solid-to-near-perfect albums
that are always packed to the brim with fantastic songwriting and melodies. To see them abandon their typical,
effective style for an ironically more dated take on 2010’s pop is damn depressing, full of woah-oh’s and generic
hooks, it comes off as soulless.. even if i still love the vocals. There is absolutely no personality to this at all and i
honestly kind of HATE it. Sad. They clearly still have the ability to make music, John’s voice sounds just as good
as it did two decades ago, just wish it wasn’t this...

| 4.0 excellent | America's Favorite Hemophobe! ♦ | September 16th 15 | Solid album. Their song formula is pretty predictable, but they still manage to sound like they've made something new when you isolate this album from the others. I was surprised to enjoy this.

| 2.0 poor | Antonius | June 27th 13 | There are some nice moments in this album, however they are not enough to title this as a 'solid' record. Very radio-friendly, aiming for mainstream success, it may cause enthusiasm amongst new (to the band) audience, but it will alienate older GGD fans. Recommended tracks: "Rebel Beat", "Caught In the Storm", "Come to Me"

| 3.0 good | jpsurf93 | June 13th 13 | I actually think this album is pretty solid. While it is pretty predictable full of the Dolls' cliches we've come to expect by now, there are some gems tucked between the album's "disappointments" that people keep mentioning. "Caught in the Storm" is great, and "Bulletproofangel" is a beautiful cut with a great, angelic chorus. While the aforementioned tracks (along with pretty much the rest of the record) follow the same GGD song structures, complete with safe chord progressions, pop melodies, and often annoyingly pseudo-poetic love-themed lyrics written about a girl that probably doesn't exist--moreover just a sort of songwriting "reflex" that Johnny has developed in order to reach the hearts of his female listeners, the album is...well, entertaining to me and hasn't grown stale to me ears yet.
